Double wall paper cups for hot drinks

A double wall paper cup is a coated inner cup wrapped in a second paper wall. The small air gap between the two layers insulates, so a hot coffee or tea is more comfortable to hold and the drink keeps its temperature for longer. For most takeaway coffee service it replaces a single cup plus a separate sleeve.

Ekoroll double wall cups are made from white, kraft or bamboo paper with a water-based (aqueous) barrier coating on the inner cup, PE-free and PFAS-free. PLA-coated versions are available on request.

What is the difference between single and double wall cups?

A double wall cup has a second paper wall around the inner cup. The air gap insulates, so hot drinks are more comfortable to hold and no sleeve is needed.

Do double wall cups need a sleeve?

Usually not. The second wall does the job of a sleeve for most hot coffee and tea service.

What coating is used?

Water-based (aqueous) barrier coating: PE-free and PFAS-free. PLA-coated versions are available on request.

Can double wall cups be printed?

Yes. We print the outer wall full-wrap on white, kraft or bamboo paper.
