Takeaway boxes that travel well

A takeaway box has to close securely, hold its shape with hot and oily food and still look good when it is opened. Ekoroll supplies fold-top bio boxes, noodle boxes, meal and lunch boxes and chicken boxes in kraft, white or bamboo board.

Formats

  • Fold-top bio boxes: one- and two-compartment boxes for meals, salads and street food.
  • Noodle boxes: one-piece boxes for noodles, rice and pasta.
  • Meal and lunch boxes: full portions in long or rectangular boxes.
  • Chicken and snack boxes: handles and vents for fried food.

Barrier and documentation

Water-based (aqueous) barrier coating is our main option; PLA coating is also available. Where the food needs different grease, moisture or sealing performance, PP- or PET-lined structures can be specified. Food-contact and compostability documentation is provided according to the final product specification and production route. Structures with water-based coating carry DIN CERTCO home compostable and industrially compostable (EN 13432) certification, held by the producing partner; copies are available on request. Water-based coated paperboard and paper containers passed PPWR (EU) 2025/40 tests for PFAS, total fluorine and heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium); the SGS and Eurofins reports are available on request.

Are paper takeaway boxes suitable for hot and greasy food?

Yes, when the board and barrier are matched to the food. We select water-based or PLA coating, or a lined structure, according to oil, moisture and holding time.

Can the boxes be printed with our branding?

Yes. Custom print is available across the range. Send your artwork with the quote request and we confirm the printable area for the chosen box.

Do the boxes ship flat?

Most formats ship flat and are folded at the point of use, which saves storage and freight space.

How is pricing calculated?
