Packaging for Europe’s new rules
European foodservice packaging is changing fast. The Single-Use Plastics Directive (EU) 2019/904 restricts single-use plastic items and requires marking on cups that contain plastic. The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR) applies from 12 August 2026, with recyclability requirements for all packaging and a restriction on PFAS in food-contact packaging. Buyers need fiber-based alternatives that perform in service and come with the right documents.
Bagasse packaging for Europe
Bagasse packaging and bagasse containers with lids are the most direct replacement for plastic and polystyrene food containers: clamshells, plates, bowls, compartment trays and the Anti-Leak series for wet dishes. Paper cups and the plastic lid
Custom printed paper cups with water-based, PFAS-free, PE-free barrier options address the coating question. The lid-free paper cup goes further: it closes with its own folded rim, so the separate plastic lid — one of the most visible single-use plastic items in coffee service — is no longer needed.
Shipping from Türkiye to the EU
Under the EU–Türkiye Customs Union, industrial goods such as packaging move with an A.TR movement certificate. Road freight reaches most EU countries directly from Türkiye; sea freight suits full-container volumes to Mediterranean and North Sea ports. Lead time depends on the type of order: stock items, custom print, a mold or format change and private-label programs are each scheduled differently, and the lead time is confirmed in writing in your quote.

How do you ship to Europe?
Orders ship from İzmir, Türkiye, by sea freight in containers or by road freight, depending on destination and volume. Trade terms (for example EXW, FOB, CIF or DAP) are agreed per shipment and stated in the quote.
Do your products comply with PPWR?
The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 applies from 12 August 2026 and includes a PFAS restriction for food-contact packaging. Our barrier options are water-based, PFAS-free and PE-free, and documents are provided per format against your market requirements.
What is the lead time?
