Packaging for the UAE’s plastic phase-out
The UAE is phasing out single-use plastic in stages. After bans on single-use plastic bags in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Ministerial Resolution 380 of 2022 extends the ban from 1 January 2026 to further single-use plastic products, including items such as plastic cups, lids, cutlery, plates, straws and polystyrene food containers. Hotels, cafés and caterers need fiber-based replacements in volume.

How do you ship to the UAE?
Orders ship from İzmir, Türkiye, by sea freight in containers or by road freight, depending on destination and volume. Trade terms (for example EXW, FOB, CIF or DAP) are agreed per shipment and stated in the quote.
What changes in the UAE in 2026?
Under Ministerial Resolution 380 of 2022, the UAE bans a further group of single-use plastic products from 1 January 2026, including items such as plastic cups, lids, cutlery, plates, straws and polystyrene food containers. Fiber-based cups, bagasse containers and wooden cutlery are replacements for these uses; check the resolution for the exact scope.
